Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Hi,
I'm a 21 year old male named Bill. I was out at a bar last night in Florida. I got into a verbal argument with another gentleman because he was harassing a girl i was with. Once i turned my back he struck me with a glass beer bottle over my head. This all took place in the bar. He then proceeded to run away and eventually i caught up with him and stopped him, he then was arrested. What is the proper course of action to take? Should i sew the bar? Just looking for a bit of information.
Thanks

Bars and other businesses generally are not liable for the misconduct of their patrons, especially when that misconduct is intentional. I can imagine reasons why the bar might share some liability, but without more facts I have no idea whether any of them apply here.
Since you haven't said anything about the extent of your injuries and since you're well enough to type this question the next day, you probably weren't hurt too badly. I'm not sure a lawsuit would make sense financially, even if there is good reason to think the bar might be liable.
