Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Hi.Last month police stoped me because i drive unregistered vehicle.I just bought this car, and put my tag.Policeman gave me the ticket and i should go to the court because it's criminal violation. This is a Serious violation or not? Violation removed after the court from my records? How much is usually fine for this? I came to the U.S. on Visa Waiver Program, and whether it can affect my entry into the U.S. in the future?
Thanks

There are lots of registration and tag criminal violations, however, most of them are second degree misdemeanors. That means you face up to 60 days in jail, fine and probation. First, you need to get the car properly tagged. As far as affecting your Visa, I'm not an immigration lawyer (so you should talk to one to be sure) but I don't think it should affect it. The fine amounts vary by county, but I would estimate anywhere from $200 to $400.
