Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I hit a mailbox and did not know until I later got pulled over. I am being charged with a hit and run with damage over $50. I do not have a record and would love to keep it that way. I just would like to know what you think will happen in court.

A lot can happen, but part of it depends on where it happened. I work with some judges who will amend the charges for my clients to a non-criminal infraction. However, other judges throughout the state may sentence you to probation, and even jail in some cases. You need to talk to an attorney in the area where this happened, and discuss the case in more detail with them.
