Can a hold be extended?
arrested Charlotte County on domestic assault charges. no contact with victim, $5,000.00 surety bond. Am able to post bond on this charge. During arrest, 5 bench warrants from Pinellas county (warrant dates from 2000 to 2001)were found. A hold is placed on my release (for assualt charge) to allow Pinellas county to pick me up for the 5 outstanding bench warrants. Should Pinellas not come to pick me up within the allowed 5 day time frame, can the Charlotte county judge extend the hold on my release?
