Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Hospital Visitation Rights
My cousin is accused of arson along with a friend of his. They were both burned over full body 3rd degree burns. Friend died at hospital. Cousin is in critical condition in ICU. doctors say chance of dieing. Police want to charge him with the fire and his friends death and using that as their excuse will not allow his mother, brother, or sisters to visit. Are they legally allowed to stop visitation by immediate family for someone who has chance of dieing?

Re: Hospital Visitation Rights
there is no right to visitors. he is in jail, just in the hospital setting. if he recovers he will be held in jail, so they can refuse visitors.
