No attorney can tell you whether a charge will be dropped. Now, if you meet with an attorney in your area, they may be able to tell you what your chances are that it could be dropped. So, I suggest you contact an attorney in person.
It is impossible to say what the "possibility" of a case being dropped, especially without being presented with any evidence or facts of the case. How can anyone know whether your husband has a good or bad case?
A private attorney will certainly be able to spend a lot more time and attention on your husband's case, increasing the chances of a favorable outcome, but ultimately even the best attorney can only do so much.
