Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I'am 19 yrs old today and I live in Florida, I was charged with 1 count of selling marijuana to an undercover cop and there is a recording according to the evidence. Went to arrangement plead not guilty and prosecutor recommended 8 months to 5 yrs.. Since then I have asked around and been told that I would probably get probation, but the my public defender told me that this judge what he has heard does not like to give probation. My next court date is Monday for pre trail hearing. What I can I counter with.

You don't "counter" with anything. You and your public defender discuss your options whether it be accepting the offer, or going to trial. Since you are represented I can't give advice so again talk to your attorney and tell him your concerns.
