Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Is it illegal to offer someone money in exchange for their co signing on a loan? It seems like fraud to me... I know someone who offered a friend $2k to co sign on a $15k loan to start a business.

Based SOLELY on the facts you've given it is not illegal. It sounds like an agreement between the parties. The friend is under no obligation to co-sign so there is nothing criminal that I see.
