Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
impeached statement
At a trial, when you try to get a statement impeached, does the entire statement get impeached, portions of it, or does it depend? Also, can the depo be impeached?

Re: impeached statement
Realistically it's the witness who is impeached.
They (or their statement) can be impeached a variety of ways, the most common is with a prior inconsistent statement, such as a depo.
as to the amount of what is impeached depends on how much they say when they take the stand.
You cannot impeach something that already happened like the depo; you impeach the person with the depo.
if you would like help with this case my office is here in South Florida.
