If improper evidence is added to the discovery for charges against someone, can the case be dropped because of it?

The answer to your short question is, "it depends." It depends on what you mean by improper, what you mean as evidence, what you mean by dropped. Those are things that have a lot of different meanings for each type of case. You should either talk to your attorney, or hire one as soon as possible.
