inadmissable evidence
if my purse was reported lost or stolen, and recovered by the police, can anything in my wallet, like someone elses driver's license be used against me?

This really depends on the circumstances, and if the other license was in "plain view" then you may be out of luck.

You would be wise to speak to a lawyer in your home area about this. In fact it would be hard without a confession or admission from you that you knew the license was there to prove their case. However they may make the arrest and hope you confess or may try to break you otherwise. They certainly can investigate. Under no circumstances should you discuss the license in question with the police without your lawyer being present.
