Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I was given some information regarding the whereabouts of money stolen from me. However, the person who has informed me got the information illegally. What will happen if I approach the person who stole my money with that information. I do not want to divulge the identity of the informant but will I get into trouble myself? Thanks.

Since it didn't sound like you did anything illegal, then you shouldn't get in trouble. Your "person" may but that means you have a choice to make: call the police to investigate the whereabouts with an explanation where you got the information, or do nothing. Only you can decide that.
