Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Innocent person incarcerated-$680,000.00 bond

How can I help my dear friend get released? Bond hearing today after 30 days of being jailed. Attorney was non-aggressive and wimpy, and bond was not reduced. No criminal past, not so much as a traffice violation, not a threat to the community nor a flight risk and most importantly, is innocent of charges. Has always been a honest, hardworking, upstanding, professional person and dedicated parent. Needs to return to employment to support family. No one, including myself, nor my friend, nor the family, have the financial means to meet this type of bond. What can be done? Please help.

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

If the bond is that high, it must be a fairly serious charge. If the family is not happy with the friend's attorney, they should hire someone else who can then file for bond reduction if the charges will allow for it. The innocence or guilt of the accused has yet to be determined by the court and your opinion will not count.
