Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
interstate compact agreement violation facing extradition
my husband is in florida facing a possable prison sentence of 5 years. He also has a hold on him from wisconson for a fugitive from justice charge and they plan to extradite where he is also possibly facing a prison term for violation of parole. Florida has offered a plea of probation. my question is if he decides to turn down the plea and do prison time in florida, will his time also count for wisconson?

Re: interstate compact agreement violation facing extradition
That would be a question of Wisconsin law or up to the Wisconsin sentencing authority. Since each sentence is from a different state, each sentence would be independent of the other. My question is why would your husband want to opt for prison time or a probated sentence? Best of luck.
