Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Involved in a theft
The person who committed the theft (5 bunnies which total price is around $Us 400), assured me that he was authorized by his boss to give those animals in donation. He took them from the facility and gave them to me and later I knew he was lying and he was not authorized so I handle to return the animals. He was arrested and charges pressed, I was called to give my testimony. Can I have problems or be charged because he gave the animals to me? I still don't understand his reasons to do it.

Re: Involved in a theft
As long as you did not assist in the actual theft it would be very unlikely that you would be charged with a crime. You will most likely be called as a witness. You did the right thing once you became aware he was lying you returned the bunnies.
