possible jail time? police brutality? help!

girlfriend arrested with no reasonable cause, out drinking, we had an argument, i left, she was on the phone with father and upset trying to get a ride, neighbors called police, she was arrested for not calming down enough for the officer, police used excessive force, threw to ground, foot in back ,cuts, scraped, bruises all photographed. she was upset angry, confused, panicked. male officer searched her while female officer present so she kicked back, charged with battery on officer. and obstruct with violence. she was not commiting any crime, although was public intoxication. doubt we can afford a lawyer for this, but dont know what to do. she has no criminal record, never been in trouble before. i posted bail, she never went before a magistrate, released with no information on cout date or arraingment info..

It sounds like the reason for the arrest was disorderly intoxication in public. Hire a local attorney for her as it sounds like she will need one. Good Luck.
