Judge re-appointing a dismissed lawyer
can a judge re-appoint a lawyer that has been dismissed by a previous judge against that defendant's wish and force the defendant to be represented by the (dismissed) attorney, who is a friend and colleague of the judge that re-appointed him?

You have three choices:
1) Hire any lawyer you can afford who will take your case.
2) Go it on your own.
3) Take what the judge gives you.
When you're not footing the bill, the selections get very narrow.
