If a family member wrote the judicial commission a complaint on the judge regarding the defendant, and the judge asks questions to the family member in court regarding the complaint, should the family member discuss this in court at the defendants court days,or should the judge discuss this only with the judicial commission??

Re: judicial commission
Whether the judge should ask the questions or not really depends on the questions. Court should ask defendant if they're ok with court remaining on the case or if they feel court can give a fair and impartial trial to the defendant.
If defendant feels a fair and impartial court is not possible a motion to recuse should be filed.
