Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Juvenile Criminal Records

This does not involve DCF. I was told that a juvenile's record is not available to the public unless they get into trouble after they turn 18. Is this true or can anyone (prospective employer, etc) have access to the record?

Anyone has access to the records of the clerk's office in the county where the crime occurred and anyone can get access to the records of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement through employment-search agencies and private investigators or by writing to the FDLE.
