Juvenile Drug Offender

What are the possible penalties for a first time juvenile offender charged with posession of marijuana and possesion of paraphenalia if that offender chooses to forgo pretrial intervention?

First question I have... WHY would anyone not do the pretrial intervention program????? DO THE PROGRAM-- you get a complete dismisal from all charges! But to answer your question, if you have a drivers license you will lose it for TWO years, you are at the mercy of the JUV. Judge, and probably get community control for 6 to 12 months. This cc program means that you have a curfew, you must stay at home between certain times, and on the weekends, you have to do community service typ. 50 hours, you have to write a 500 word paper, if you mess up on this you could face juv. detention of up to 21 days (kids jail). If you complete this then you have a juv. record that if you do anything wrong after this then it will make a new violation more serious and detention will most certainly be a factor. GOOD LUCK....
