Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Juvenile felony

My son is 16 and he was pressured by an adult to purchase a bag of weed 3 months ago and he just got arrested 10/29/07. They took his truck and let him go home after being finger printed. We did not get a police report or anything. What will happen?

Re: Juvenile felony

The truck could be forfeited if used during the commission of a crime. He can be prosecuted as a juvenile and there are many diversion programs with BSO if he is eligible.

He will be prosecuted as a juvenile. Regardless of whether he was pressured by an adult or not, your son made the decision to make the purchase. He needs to accept responsibility for his actions as he will have to face the consequences. You should get your son a good criminal lawyer to represent him in this matter in order to defend against this action.
