Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I got a juvenile warrant in Orange County, FL in 2008 and I am now 19. The warrant was for not showing up to court after I had moved as a minor to a different state with my mother. I was never notified of the court date so I didnt go. How would I get the warrant off of my record?

You need to call a lawyer in Orange County and they may be able to do something to get this off your record.

Because you are now 19, the court has lost jurisdiction over you. However, that will not stop the police from arresting you on the outstanding warrant if they find you. You need to file a Motion to Quash Capias to have the warrant quashed. Feel free to call my office if you would like to discuss your case further.
