Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
juveniles being charged as adults
I am trying to find out where I can go to get as much information as possible about children being tried as adults for crimes in the state of Florida. Questions would include but not be limited to What is the average cost of charging a juvenile as an adult and being imprisoned in an adult jail for 8-10 years? When was the law changed to allow juveniles to be charged as adults? Are there any laws protecting juveniles from being charged as Adults? thanks you for your help.

You should contact the juvenile division of your local State Attorney's Office. You could also contact the Dept. of Juvenile Justice. They could probably answer many of your questions.
