can i be criminally charged if i am found to be in possession of my legal prescription painkillers if the are crushed into a powder form?

I have never heard of such an arrest and I am not sure that it would hold up in court. It sounds like an overzealous police officer if the facts as told are correct. I have no idea what you could be charged with.
