Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Law Suite

I was arrested on October 31 for Disorderly conduct which was a bogus charge and was dismissed on December 9th. I am a 44 year old proffesional and also a husband and father. When I was handcuffed on the nught of the arrest, I informed the officer that the cuff on my right wrist was really tight and it hurt. His reply was, ''too bad, it isn't supposed to feel good''. Since that night, my right thumb has been numb and a sharp pain runs through it on the inside from time to time. I thought this would just go away and it has not. Now, I am getting more and more upset over the whole incident and how it should have never took place to begin with. I do not want to go the rest of my life with this thumb like it is. My question is, Do i have a case against the officer who cuffed me for excessive force or brutality? If yes, would it be worth the effort to persue this and would an attorney take this with his pay being a cut of the outcome? Thank You

Re: Law Suite

You need to ask a civil lawyer. But I would doubt it.
