lawyer deposit
I have paid a crimial lawyer money down to retain her. Several months have past a n all she has done is postpone my case. Can I get my deposit back?

Why would you want to? Usually, when you are the defendant in a criminal case, delay is good for you. The prosecutor gets tired of your case, the witnesses' memories fade, the judge wants you to get a good deal so that your case can get off the docket, etc. Sounds like your lawyer is doing her job so far.
