Is it legal to fight in public (say on the beach or the sidewalk) in the state of florida if both people are over 18 and agree that it's a friendly sparring match?

Maybe. You could BOTH be charged with disorderly conduct. However, it may be hard for the state to prove intent. My advice, don't take the chance.
