If you say you lied about a police report will the case be thrown out?
Or will they still prosecute?

They can definitely still prosecute both the original case and the person who allegedly lied on the police report. Talk to an attorney before you do anything.

It depends. Even if your statements are critical to the case, the prosecutor can still take it to trial and may be able to win a conviction.
Bear in mind that knowingly filing a false police report is a crime. You may end up being prosecuted yourself. Even if you don't tell anyone you lied, the police or prosecutor might figure it out on their own.
You should *definitely* talk to a lawyer before taking any action -- or even before deciding not to take any action.
