Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Limitations of Expungement

In August 2004, I was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence & felony assault with deadly weapon. The charges were dropped by the following day and I obtained an expungement. I realize I have to disclose this arrest to certain potential employers, but will they have access to any/all the details of my case? What details do I have to disclose when applying for such a job? As the charges were dropped, is this still considered a charge against me? Also, since the charges were dropped, it has been expunged & occurred more than three years ago will this disqualify me from employment in child care? Can I fight disqualification by an employer if I am legally permitted to be employed there?

Re: Limitations of Expungement

Certain jobs require disclosure regardless of expungement. If the job does not require disclosure you dont have to mention it. You cannot bring any actions.
