Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I live in Florida and wanted to know why people are allowed to serve their probation while still behind bars? All definitions of probation I have found say that you must first be released from incarceration before serving probation. If this was changed why and when? Thank you.

This has always been the case. Sometimes, jail is a condition of probation. As far as why, it is because the legislature and the courts have said so.
