Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I live in Florida and was a witness to a robbery in December of last year. I was subpoenaed for a Deposition for last April which I attended. Then recently the State Attorney's secretary came by my home when I was away and left a threatening note saying I was STILL under subpoena to appear for the trial. I never received a subpoena for the trial, only the deposition with the date on it which I already attended five months ago. And the subpoena says; "NOTICE, PRAECIPE AND SUBPOENA FOR TAKING DEPOSITION". Do they need to send out a brand new subpoena for Trial with a trial date? Or is this old Deposition subpoena with the date of April 11th which I already attended still in effect? Also they keep pushing this off months at a time without letting me know.
