Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I live in Florida , my 73 year old father had strong words with 65 and older neighbor , week later my father went to his house and knock on his door to talk, ended up in a fist fight. My father blooded him up, and mans wife got involved trying to break them up. Now my father got arrested and charged with 2 assault n battery on a person 65 and older . Seems like a very serious charge. But he him self is 73 with a knee replacement. My question what might come of this in court?
1 Answer from Attorneys
This is a serious charge. On the battery on a person over 65, he is facing up to 5 years in prison, plus an additional year+ on the other two charges. Your father's condition and age has nothing to do with it. That all said, your father may have defenses. It is best that he talk with an attorney in his area so that he can mount a defense against these serious charges.
