Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I live in a gated golf/pool commmunity in South FLA. My neighbors are man and wife, both high school teachers. They are in their late 50s.

She has been heard complaining on the phone abpout hois constant marijuana smoking.

She was once heard as saying that she was going to divorce him if he didn't quit. She has also made comments regarding same in other common areas such as gold course, pool, etc.

I want to contact a drug tip hotline. Can I suffer any legal action as a result of an anonymous tip that I feel compelled to submit. Can I expect compete anonymity from the police. Can he sue me if he finds out I have submitted drug hotline tip?

If you reasonably believe that they are committing a crime, then you can certainly report that anonymously. Unless you intentionally lie to the police, then there is nothing they can sue you for.
