Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I live in NY. My sister lives in Florida. Back in 2002, she used my social security number to get electric and phone. I chose not to press charges when i found out in 2004 because i was told i had to go to florida to do so. I now want to press charges, but was told by a friend it may be too late because it has been 7 years and statute of limitations ran out? Is this so? Thanks in advance, Tracy

Yes the statute has probably run. You can call the State Attorney in the county where this occurred to check.
