Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
If I loan my neighbor a wood splitter and I allow him to keep it in his garage for one year, can he legally claim it as his property?

He can always try to claim it was always his or you gave it as a gift. However, it does not simply become his because you let him use it and keep it at his place for his future use. Nonthless, something in writing is always suggested to avoid misunderstandings.
