Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I need to know!
I just want to know how long the state of Florida has to file charges on someone. My husband got arrested for violation of probation but got released ROR because there were no charges. This happened in October, I want to know if they can still file charges or is there a time limit that the state is given. Thank you so much. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Re: I need to know!
They can file a violation of probation anytime while he is on probation. If the violation is a new charge they have to comply with the statute of limitations on that charge. I would need to have more facts to give you more specific advice. I can be reached for an appt. 24/7 at 561-317-2910.
