Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
mandatory deposition
My minor child received a letter from the public defernder's office stating that he needs to attend a mandatory video deposition as a witness. But he knows nothing of the situation. Is it really mandatory that he goes?

Re: mandatory deposition
If the "letter" was a subpoena, then yes, it's mandatory. If it's just a letter that came through the mail, then no, it's not mandatory.
