Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Where would I go in Miami dade, florida to find out the standard operating procedure of the police department, or to check on laws about how long someone can be kept in jail before going to trial, & how filing a continuence effects that???

Standard Operating Procedures would be from the Police Dept. The second part is Florida Rule of Criminal Procedure 3.191. If the defendant is given a continuance, the defendant cannot demand speedy trial later.
