As I stated before, it is not illegal for a 16 year old to engage in consentual sex with a 22 year old. It is extremely unlikely that charges would be brought for events that occurred when the minor was 15 if they deny that it happened.

This is a restatement of your earlier question. If the 22 year old had sex with a 15 year old, that is a very serious criminal offense that police in some jurisdictions do not take lightly. This is especially so in the day of the computer with all that is going on with adults trying to meet up with underage females. If a person is found to have done so, there is strict liability and consent is not a defense. If adjudicated guilty, the adult may be labeled as a child sex predator with all the stigma that comes with it including the requirement to register and the prohibition against living a certain distance from any school.
