The Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure allow for an individual to be "tried in absentia" provided the request (Motion) is made in writing and is granted in advance of the trial date by the presiding Judge. If you are representing yourself, this might not be a great idea. Without being present, you will lose the ability to cross examine witnesses and present argument.

This option usually makes more sense if you are represented by an attorney and can't, or don't want to, return for the trial.
