Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I have a misdemeanor from 2009. I entered pre-trial diversion and case was closed February 2010. It says "administrative dismissal" as the case disposition. Can I put "no" on my job applications when asked about criminal background?

By completing the PTI program you are not convicted of anything. So no should be the correct answer (except for some rare jobs where you need to list any arrests or tickets). The arrest will still show up on a background check though until you have it expunged.
If the question is whether you have been convicted then the answer is no. If the question is whether you have ever been charged with a crime then the answer is yes, regardless of whether it was dropped. I strongly suggest you expunge the case so you can legally deny it occurred.
