Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Mistameanor Charges

I was arrested on a warrant for disorderly conduct for an incidenct of harassment on Feb 25. I was not in the same county as the incident and have witnesses that can account for my were abouts. The woman was walking down the road was harassed by a passing driver. She stated that she remember the tag number of the vechile and ran home to call the police. The victim picked me out of a photo line up. I have served time for felonies in the past and am not sure how to proceed with proving my inocence. I was over 45 minutes south at my home at the time of the incident. How do I prove my inocence

I would gather as much evidence that you can to detail your location at the time of the incident. This would include anywhere you went during that time period. If you hire an experienced Florida Criminal Defense Lawyer, he/she may be able to preserve any of that evidence prior to your court appearance, or be able to present it to the State Attorney's Office prior to them filing the charges. He/she could also take witness statements before their memories fade as to where you were during specific time periods.
