Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My mom has served a 5 year sentence in person is will be releases in the next upcoming week. She has to go to another county to serve a one day sentence in jail; is there any paperwork an attorney can file to have her one day added on to her current prison sentence

It sounds like she has already been sentenced on the one day charge so there is little that can be done. However, if she has not been sentenced, then an attorney could try to get the court to run it concurrent if it is a misdemeanor. It will take the right judge, the right county, the right prosecutor, and right defense attorney. I suggest you contact one in your area.
