Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My mother was charged with 6 counts of Grand theft, in the amounts of $300-$5000. She was arrested, charged and released within 24 hours. She worked for a leasing business and she left money in the office drawer. The money was taken. This happened in March, my mother had a stroke in November and suffers has been diagnosed with a stress disorder.
The police attempted to get her to convess which she didn't, but she was told that because she can't prove that someone else took the money, they are charging her.
What are her chances?

Her chances are good if that's all there is to the case, but I doubt the police would charge her on just that evidence alone. There's something she isn't telling you.
