Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My nephew was charged last night/early a.m. in Palm Beach County, FL with Fla.Stat. 893.13-5330/Cocaine Possession. My brother is trying to bail him out of the Main Det. Center now. (I work in Broward County, FL for same law firm for 26 years, but we do not practice criminal defense law.) Because of today being Super Bowl Sunday, I cannot get ahold of any of the criminal defense attorneys I know. Any advise you can give me for what is ahead would be greatly appreciated from someone who has worked for attorneys for more than half my life. Laura

Well since it is Super Bowl Sunday the best advice that I can give is that it's no different than any other Sunday. You should try to get ahold of a criminal defense attorney in your area tomorrow. For today he will probably go in front of the judge and the judge will make a preliminary determination on bail. You're still free to bond amount at any time, however.
