Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My niece lives in Ocala Florida. Her neighbor has been harassing her since she moved into her house a year ago. she is married and they have two autistic boys age 12 and 14. the neighbor installed a security camera in a tree pointed at her house, the camera is placed about 4 feet from her property line. my niece hung a tarp on her side of the property line so the neighbor now put the camera on a 20 ft pole and leaned it up on the same tree 4 ft from the property line pionted at her house. Is the neighbor breaking the law?

I don't practice civil law but there MIGHT be a privacy claim. She would have to talk to a civil attorney about that. Criminally, probably not, but to be safe she should contact the police to see if it is possible stalking or voyuerism. Myself (and the police for that matter) would need more information which is why I suggest you contact them, in addition to a civil attorney for a possible civil claim.
