Nolle Pros
I received a nolle pros about eight years ago. I'm trying to apply to the fire department and there is a question that says if I had ever been convicted. How do I answer. I don't want to be dishonest so should I put no and attach a letter and if so what should i include in it

you can honestly say that you have never been convicted of a crime.

You can answer no. You were not convicted. The charges were dropped.

No you were not convicted. In fact, your case was dismissed. You may be elegible for a expungement or sealing of your record.
