Posted about 13 hours ago - Deltona, FL
I got a letter from my lawyer stating that the charge I was arrested for has been dropped.
on the NOLLE PROSEQUI letter at the bottom is says
____IS NO LONGER NEEDED FOR COURT AND MAY BE DISPOSED OF
ACCORDING TO LAW.
____HOLD FOR FURTHER COURT PROCEEDING AND/OR INSTRUCTIONS.
On the hold for further court proceeding and/or instructions is checked
What does that mean please?
Does that mean its OVER or does it mean if the DA chooses to prosecute me in the future If they get additional evidence they can reopen the case.
WHAT DOES hold for further court proceeding and/or instructions

I suppose I would need to see the whole context of the letter but your attorney is correct and with rare exception, that means your case is over with.
