is it normal for an attoney to tell a father falsely accuses of molesting his 9 year old daughter, to NOT take a polygraph

There is no "normal" answer to this question. Sometimes I want my client to take a polygraph and other times I wouldn't want to. Either way, it is not admissible. The good thing is if he passes, then it could be a negotiating tool with the prosecutor, but if he fails or it is inconclusive then it doesn't help much. Only the attorney and the father know the correct way to go on this issue.
