Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Hello, not sure if you can help me or not....my sons ex-girlfriend is an abuser. She has hit him, her mother & her grandmother that I know of. They were recently involved in a domestic. She didn't want him to leave her house when he dropped off her son and his daughter on Mothers day. She latched onto him physically wrapping herself around his legs to prevent him from leaving. He had his car keys in hand and while trying to push her away, hit her in the head leaving a scratch. At that point, because she started bleeding from the cut, the altercation stopped. He checked her out and she took a shower to clean off the blood. He watched the kids while she did this. He left and came home. About two hours later, she came to our house with the kids. I had heard that there was an incident and that she was supposed to have been hurt so I looked at her closely but didn't notice anything. Now she wants to file a report with the police, this is after she filed a restraining order. What if anything can he do?

He needs to hire himself an attorney to fight the restraining order. In the meantime, he MUST call the police if anything physical happened to him or other family members
